All of our teachers are passionate about music and the development of children.
They create a fun, informal, social setting that spurs engagement and supports each child's musical development.
Melanie Roberts
Melanie Roberts, owner and Director of Littlest Music Makers, graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP) with her degree in Music Education, Grades K-12. Melanie served as a principal clarinetist and section leader in the university's top Wind Ensemble and earned seats in the university's Pit Orchestras for "West Side Story" and "Cabaret." She also earned the position of Drum Major of IUP's Marching Band and assisted at IUP's Drum Major Camp for high school field conductors.
While at university, Melanie was invited to participate in internships for both children's choral and instrumental music. Melanie served as a counselor at the Performing Arts Institute of Wyoming Seminary for two summers. She taught Gym and Music at the Kinder Works preschool in Doylestown for four years, where she realized teaching the youngest children brought her tremendous joy and she wanted to continue her life's work with this age group, while helping families to understand the benefits of music. Melanie's goal is to see families and classrooms come together through music and to continue a love for music throughout their lives.
Melanie has been teaching Music Together® classes since 2007 and has served as director since 2010. She plays a variety of instruments and has taught private instrument lessons. Melanie is an active member in her church's Worship Team, where she sings and plays electric bass. She also teaches at local schools, preschools, and homeschool co-ops.
